
End-of-life battery physical crushing and sorting line
Mechanical crushing, staged separation, conveying and collection for pre-treated end-of-life battery feedstock.
Equipment and processing flow
The line combines feedstock integration, physical crushing, separation and automatic transport and collection. Pre-treated material enters mechanical crushing, with stages selected for the battery structure and target fractions.
Crushed material passes through screening, magnetic and density separation or other physical methods. Powder, copper and aluminium foil, casing material and separators are routed to collection or subsequent recovery. Methods depend on composition, particle size and target fractions.
Conveying, collection and process support
Conveyors link processing units and transfer sorted fractions to designated containers or collection areas, reducing manual handling. Material flow, station interfaces and routing are configured with the overall processing capacity.
Crushing is supported by pre-treatment, gas collection, dust extraction and process controls suited to the feedstock. Material collection, exhaust treatment and maintenance access are designed with the main equipment for continuous processing and collection.
Process stages and material outputs
A line may combine coarse crushing, low-temperature treatment, staged hammer milling and separation. Configuration depends on chemistry, casing, liquid content and the condition of copper and aluminium foils.

Controls and utilities
Enclosed transport, nitrogen protection, temperature and oxygen monitoring, and PLC interlocks can be configured by stage and project risk assessment. Interfaces and abnormal-condition responses are coordinated in the line design.
For an enquiry, specify chemistry, pre-treatment, throughput, target fractions and collection needs, together with electricity, nitrogen, compressed air, cooling water and building space. Particular thermal routes also require their corresponding energy supply and outdoor equipment space.
Physical crushing and sorting produce separated material fractions. Subsequent refining of intermediate materials such as black mass is defined separately from this line’s supply scope and acceptance criteria.
