Electrode scrap and unfilled wound-cell crushing line

Crushing, screening and collection for electrode manufacturing scrap and wound-cell assemblies without electrolyte.

Feedstock and equipment

The line handles electrode manufacturing scrap and wound-cell assemblies that have not been filled with electrolyte. It comprises feeding, mechanical crushing, screening/separation and collection units. Feedstock composition and condition must match the design.

Feeding equipment transfers material to crushing, which prepares particle sizes for downstream separation. Crushing and transport arrangements depend on feed form, throughput and collection methods.

Separation and recovery integration

Vibratory screening and configured separation stages route powder, metal foil and separator fractions to their collection areas. Separate feeding of positive and negative electrode scrap depends on output requirements and the processing scheme.

Materials and separation configuration define output fractions, downstream treatment and recovery criteria. Separate recovery of positive and negative electrode materials requires suitable feedstock classification, separate feeding and subsequent processing. Electrolyte-filled end-of-life cells require a route matched to their condition.
